I also wish there had been more ways to fight back against enemies. I would have loved to have been able to rescue other crew members and have them at my base.
One complaint was how empty the game was of other humans, I didn't like how there were no NPCs. I'm waiting for Subzero to get closer to launch before buying it, I want to experience the game when it is closer to being "done." I would absolutely LOVE a game that is similar. I also love how over time, you can build up a stock of better food and explore further for longer. I loved the base building, the exploration, how you have to find minerals and stuff to slowly improve and get access to better tech. I got Subnautica around Christmas and it is the first game I have actually FINISHED in a long time.
