The hand grip also has two ports to utilize this battery, an 8v designed to power the Tilta Nano Nucleaus Follow Focus motor, and a 12v which can be used for other accessories, such as a monitor. The side handle really helps controlling the rig for handheld shots and can hold a NP-F550 Battery (or F570 with F550 footprint, such as the Blackmagic Design F570 battery). Should be noted only the T7 Sheild SSD has been approved for the BMPCC, the other T7's are not approved. The Samsung T5 drive holder that comes with this will also work with the new T7 Shield (you just need to peel off the rubber cover).
